Vandana C. Reddy MD is the Founder & CEO of Northeast Georgia Ophthalmology. She attended Wellesley College, an all-women’s college near Boston, Massachusetts and earned a degree in Neuroscience with honors. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia with AOA honors and completed her ophthalmology training at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She then went on to complete a subspecialty surgical fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Cataract, Refractive Surgery at the University of Michigan, Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Her expertise is in cataract surgery, cornea and refractive surgeries, and comprehensive ophthalmology. She provides medical and surgical eye examinations in dry eye and lid margin disease, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and corneal diseases. Her surgical services include routine and complex cataract surgery with standard and premium intraocular lens implants, corneal procedures, pterygium surgery, minor eyelid surgeries, and laser surgeries to prevent/treat glaucoma and secondary cataracts.

Dr. Reddy has published in her field and presented at many conferences over the years. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, Medical Association of Georgia, and Women in Ophthalmology. Dr. Reddy is passionate about providing and developing great patient relationships. She strives in providing excellent medical and surgical eye care.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Reddy is actively involved in the community. She performs free glaucoma screening clinics in the Atlanta area and strongly advocates for patients at all levels of care. Through involvement in the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology and the Medical Association of Georgia, she has participated in legislative action to help reform policies that affect Georgians’ healthcare. She helps with content and program development for several different ophthalmology organizations and their educational conferences. She has had the honor of being selected to participate in the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy Class of 2020 and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Leadership Development Program Class of 2022. She also serves as an examiner and develops exam material for the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Reddy is a Georgia native, growing up in the metro Atlanta area. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and particularly enjoys nature through hiking and gardening. She loves to travel in the USA and abroad so she can absorb all the different cultures, particularly the food. She has been passionately learning a type of Indian Classical Dance called Kuchipudi since she was 8 years old and still actively performs.
